Could you elaborate? How did you find this out?
Thanks.

I don't know if you could call it a scam.
But the common opinion seems to be that it is an overpriced book with no real new information.
Do a google or yahoo search on "power4home"

I did. Some info was vague. One review said it was educational. Never really found a bad review. But you just don’t know if they are getting advertising money or not.

"How does it work?"
- So you start with the Solar Panel with looks like around 120W and retails around $500, but somehow the site says you can build it for $125 with parts from a hardware store. Even better, that apparently includes the construction of a grid tie inverter (retails around $2000) because he claims you can hook it up to your home electricity and run your meter backwards.
- Next there's the $50 windmill. Perhaps you could pull that off, but there's no way you could create anything of appreciable wattage or expect to include a charge controller with it.
- How to get brand new batteries... free! Enough said.
There's plenty of information available on the web if you're interested in producing your own power. When someone suggests it can be done at prices like those listed on the site, though, it's a scam.

I agree with Incognito....no way for price they claim. Heck just a 1200 watt inverter can cost anywhere from $80 to $200! An inverter capable of running a home would cost several hundred or more to build, and likely in the thousands to purchase. We're just talking inverters...the power for them to convert isn't even there yet!

Thanks for the input, guys. I figured the claims for making it that cheap were bogus. I figured some of the inverter stuff would be up there. I'm more interested in the info provided.
Is the info provided accurate? I know nothing about the construction of such things and would like to learn. Any ideas on info like that. Does this guy provide that?
