Ok there are the pics.
I was able to use an online program to resize them.
When I click on the Faq, I get acess denied:
Let me know what you think.
It looks like I have to only make 3 motor mounts, one of the original mounts
was dead even on the frame. Go figure:
Thanks ,
Vic

Another update.
The rear axle is welded to the frame.
One motor mount is done. So the rear mounts are done , still have to drill the holes.
The Sag steering box uses a pitman arm the will bolt directly to my drag link or (push pull arms), so no problem there.
I just want to mention few things before moving on with this.
The wheel base is exactly 7' 1".
If you had chance to look at the pic that shows the transfer case , you can see the land cruiser emergency brake assembly on the transfer case , this is one of the reason I am using it. Other reasons like , the 2Wd LO and it is all gear driven.
Also it is short and combined with the 4 speed first gear and LO range , the ratio is about 10:1 which is not bad. Also it comes ready fron factory to accept a PTO.
I figured the wieght of this thing so far is around 2,500 lbs give or take few .
Drivetrain 900lbs
rear with tires 750lbs
Frame 400 lbs
front axle with wheels and pivot plate and everything 350lbs or maybe 375lbs
Total around 2425 lbs.
There are many things to be added yet.
I am hoping to keep it under 3000 lbs, but we will see.
Thanks,
Vic

I have to make few gussets to inforce everything.
John,I was looking at your machine. You are moving on nicely. I think I am going to steel few ideas from yours.
I have till Aug 15 , then I have to resume the work that I started doing on my truck. Hopefully by then the steering will be done .
Thank you
Vic

Hello,
All motor mounts are done .
Now I have to pull the Rad out of my truck to use it to make 2
rad brackets.
I also had a chance to experment with the steering, it looks like easy enough to do.
Once I get the steering done.
I will bolt the good motor to it and rig it with steering wheel and few things so I
can test drive it.
After that I won't be doing any more work on it till I finish the work that I had started doing to my truck. After I finish my truck ,If I have time before the cold weather creeps upon us , then I will get back to it, otherwise I would have to wait till it warms up again, but there is a slim chance that I might put a wood stove in the garage.
I am hoping to take a load of pics this Sunday so look out;
Thanks
Vic

The steering is comlete almost, and rad supports are done.
Since I still have few day before Aug 15 , I am still doing the work outside.
The rain yesterday was very hard so I decided to wait for the pics. It was still raining today too.
I have found 2 rear fenders for a Ford 8N. The guy is going to contact me tonight . Hopefully I will get them.
Today I was working on the steering coulmn. The only thing remaining is to install a bearing in the Toyota steering shaft tube. Then mount the column.
I am amazed at how easy I can steer this thing. I don't think I will bother with power steering at all. 2 for the Saginaw steering box.
Please post your comments. I haven't been getting any . Hopefully that is a good sign.
Thanks.
Vic

VIC,
once you get the tractor off road and into a mired or rutted situation your opinion of not having power steering will change. Can you change the steering box out later for a power model without trouble? If not,I'd go with power steering, you may decide to forge ahead because of your deadline,i think you'll wish you had power later once you drive this machine..best of luck, interesting work so far

Hello bunkclimber,
The steering box that I am using is power steering, but it steers so easily that I decided to go with power steering.
I am going to connect the hoses and not worry about power steering for now.
I can add power steering easily later.
Thanks for the feed back.
Now the next set of pic

The stock Rad is offest to the passenger side . With that offset the drain was blocking my steering shaft.
I flipped the shroud upside down and that solved the problem.

This is a Gm Saginaw Power steering box, that mounts to the ousite of the frame.
It was easier to use this box and flipp the steering from right to left push pull.
Becuse there is nothing inthe way of the steering shaft when the box is mounted
at the left corner.

Here you can see how simple the steering linkage is. One link that ties the arms tgether and the push pull link to the steering box.

This piece of steel to fix the steering shaft while aloowing it to rotate. It will be welded to motor mount once everything is where it should be.

I was lucky with this motor mount . By change it with the one on the right it sat dead on the frame.
