Tom's craftsman’s lathe repairsMy old craftsman lathe has been used hard and neglected, I think I know who it was that neglected this lathe but I won’t point fingers. It will need some parts built that will have to wait till I get the big lathe set up better. so far I am trying to just tighten things up and build the parts that I can at this point.This is the tail stock hold down bolt and nut that needed rebuilt so I made a bolt and nut.This is the bolt and nut installed.The gears for the feed screw ....

’Tis the season...  For dirt work

I’ve been tossing about building a driveway grader based on the old horse drawn models in the local museums.

Personally, I’m looking to build something like this for behind Frankenjohnnie.

I got the mold board cut out and 75% welded out last weekend. Unfortunately, my camera wasn’t to hand I figure at 7 1/2" high, 5’ wide is about right. I just need to figure out how much to angle the blade to throw the spill to the side... ....
